Cultivating resilient apparel communities through circularity, transparency, and equity.
We believe in the right to know the origins of our clothing, including the environment and individuals involved in manufacturing.
Mission
Committed to the well-being of both people and the planet, our mission is to create a widespread network of geographical manufacturing clusters with completely transparent supply chains, while advancing the use of natural dyes and fibers, to mend the fractures within the apparel industry.
Vision
Know Your Clothing’s vision is a future where the apparel industry prioritizes ethical labor, transparent supply chains, and natural dyes and fibers over fossil fuel derived materials and chasing the lowest price.
Supply Chain Transparency
We aspire to create a future where transparency in the sourcing and manufacturing of clothing is prioritized, guaranteeing fair treatment for workers and empowering consumers to understand the origins and individuals behind every garment.
Values
Circularity
We pursue circularity by building a scalable model that will reduce the environmental resources and forecasting currently needed to produce textiles, ultimately decreasing overproduction and environmental impact in the apparel industry.
Local Communities
We are dedicated to improving local economies and reducing the carbon footprint of finished goods by establishing a scalable model that will utilize sourcing of local farmers and manufacturers.
Natural Fibers and Dyes
We are working to scale up natural fibers and dyes, which will greatly benefit farmers and land cultivation while reducing the amount of microplastics, fossil fuel derived dyes, and their impacts to the environment.
